Nonprofits seek donations for Hurricane Sandy victims; bike news

The American Red Cross is seeking cash donations to help people suffering from the ravages of Hurricane Sandy.

The nonprofit relief agency already has opened emergency shelters in seven states where it’s making space available for persons displaced by the storms and distributing food and other necessities.

Giving cash donations allows the Red Cross to use the money to purchase whatever it needs immediately. Donations of physical goods …
