It took three stages, but cyclist Alessandro Petacchi has made his presence felt at the Vuelta a Espana.

With less than 3 miles to go in the 95-mile bicycle race from Cordoba to Puertollano, Petacchi's Fassa Bortolo teammates led out the sprinter to the finish line, according to the results at CyclingNews.

Australian McGee takes lead in Vuelta bicycle race

Francaise des Jeux cyclist Brad McGee lost the 2nd stage of the Vuelta a Espana on Sunday but took the gold leader's jersey.

The Australian cyclist finished just behind stage winner Leonardo Bertagnolli (Italy, Cofidis) in the hot, mostly downhill 117-mile bicycle race route from Granada to Cordoba.

How to follow the Vuelta a Espana bicycle race

The last of the Grand Tour bicycle races begins Saturday, but don't bother to tune in to the Outdoor Life Network to watch it.
Those good feelings from the run-up to the Tour de France with Cyclysm Sundays and cradle to grave coverage of the Tour itself are gone. There's no more Lance Armstrong racing on his bike, and there's no more cycling on OLN.
