Bike trails win funding in Washington state budget; closing Foothills Trail gap

Bridge closure on Snoqualmie Valley Trail in July

The old Meadowbrook Bridge on the Snoqualmie Valley Trail will be closed later this month to allow work crews to replace some rotten portions.

King County Parks said the bridge will be closed from July 20 – 31. Intermittent closures might be necessary ahead of time so the crews can set up for the project.

East Lake Sammamish Trail fully reopens for Fourth of July weekend

After more than a year, the entire 11-mile-long East Lake Sammamish bicycle trail will be open beginning on Friday.

Bicycle shuttle service to Snoqualmie Tunnel launches on John Wayne Pioneer Trail

A new shuttle service — Snoqualmie Tunnel Bike Shuttle — to take passengers and bicycles from Rattlesnake Lake to the summit of the John Wayne Pioneer Trail in Hyak begins this summer.

The shuttle will be operated by Compass Outdoor Adventures, an outdoor education outfit that’s been operating in the North Bend area since 2007.

Snoqualmie Valley Trail segment closed all summer between Duvall and Carnation
