Cyclists Lance Armstrong and Filippo Simeoni withdrew their defamation suits against each other.

Bicycle quote: Difference between Lance and George

“George is a nice guy, no doubt. He's learned that he can be a gentleman and still have a killer instinct. Me, I'm the opposite. I'm a jerk who has to work at being a gentleman. I've always loved to put the hurt on people.” …

Lance Armstrong to drive Indy 500 pace car

What did the ads used to say for Benson & Hedges cigarettes? “You've come a long way baby!” Yeah, you ladies have come a long way toward increasing your cancer rate to that of men by smoking.

I'm thinking the same thing about Lance Armstrong this morning. The Tour de France blog cites a couple of sources that report Armstrong will drive the pace car in the upcoming Indianapolis 500. It probably will be a Corvette Z06….

Bicycle quotes: The Lance Armstrong – Sheryl Crow split

It's no shock that people feel very strongly about Lance Armstrong — as an elite cyclist, a cancer survivor, a motivator, a celebrity, a father, a Texan.
News of his breakup with fiance Sheryl Crow brought out a flood of reaction from columnists and bloggers. Here are a few quotes from the weekend that I found particularly mean, weird or funny:
