Cross Washington Mountain Bike Ride — On mostly gravel and single track, the route takes bikers from the Pacific Coast, over the Cascades, and across the scablands to Tekoa on the Idaho border. Long distances between services. Date: Grand Depart May 21, 2023
Northwest Tandem Rally: — Tandem bicycle riders are encouraged to attend, but all manner of cyclist can participate. Rides around Sequim in 2023. Dates: May 26 – 29, 2023.
Ride the Willapa — The mass bike ride on the Willapa Hills Trail is a one-day event in 2023; camping is available at Rainbow Falls State Park. Date: June 24, 2023
Olympic Discovery Trail –– Mostly follows a rail-trail across the northern Olympic Peninsula from Port Townsend to the Pacific. A 230-miles van-supported tour presented by Adventure Cycling. Dates: Aug. 12-15, 2023, and Aug 17-20, 2023 (waiting lists for both rides)
Tour de Fox — The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research has created a virtual charity bike ride event. Pick a route and raise donations. Date: Virtual ride Aug. 26, 2023
San Juan Islands — A weeklong inn-to-inn bicycle tour of the San Juan Islands and northern Puget Sound coast. Presented by Adventure Cycling. Dates: Sept. 2-9, and Sept. 10-17, 2023
WaCanId Ride — A 370-mile, fully supported bike tour on the International Selkirk Loop encompasses parts of Washington, Idaho and British Columbia. 23,000 feet of elevation gain; route encompasses mountains, lakes, rivers and a long ferry ride. Presented by Rotary Clubs of the Selkirk Loop. Dates: Sept. 9-14, 2024
Climate Ride — Raises funds and awareness for climate research. This big loop starts in Seattle and includes cycling around Puget Sound, visiting San Juan Islands, and Canada’s Vancouver Island. Check website for other rides in California, Oregon, and elsewhere. Dates: None in 2023
Cycle Washington — Nothing for 2023 Adventure Cycling Association presents this fully supported week-long bicycle tour of Washington. Begins at Stevens Pass with a long downhill ride to Lake Wenatchee. Continues north to Winthrop, crosses Washington and Rainey Passes. Arriving at the Puget Sound, cyclists will take the ferry to San Juan Islands, then returns to Issaquah.
Bicycle Rides Northwest. No tours in Washington state in 2023, but check the website for 2024.
RedSpoke sends cyclists 300 miles from Redmond to Spokane. The fully supported bicycle tour, limited to 100 riders, climbs the Cascades and catches prevailing tailwinds across the state. Sponsored by the Rotary Club of Redmond. Registration is open. Dates: Retired
