The race for jerseys at Tour of California

Four jerseys. Four Americans. Although the Amgen Tour of California bike race comprises an international field of cyclists, riders from the US are in all the top positions.

Here's how the jersey competition stacks up after Stage 6, an 89-mile race from Santa Barbara to Thousand Oaks that was won by T-Mobile's Olaf Pollack.

Who says bicycle racing is dead in America without Lance Armstrong?

The crowds that have been flocking to the Amgen Tour of California, and those following the race on the internet have been treated to plenty of excitement. How about today's breakaway that included Jens Voight of Team CSC and Viatcheslav Ekimov of Discovery Channel.

Floyd Landis takes golden jersey in Tour of California

Cyclist Floyd Landis beat the next fastest finisher by nearly 26 seconds to win the Amgen Tour of California time trial in San Jose on Wednesday.

The US leader of the Swiss Phonak squad also gains the tour leader's golden jersey for his efforts. Discovery's George Hincapie, who achieved the leader's jersey Tuesday, finished the day in fourth, about a minute slower than Landis.
