Washington state needs volunteer bike counters

State transportation officials are looking for more than just a few good bicycle and pedestrian counters.

Hundreds of volunteers are being sought to participate in the sixth annual survey, scheduled for Oct. 1, 2, and 3 — that’s a Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

Bicycling visitors considered ‘major source’ of revenue for Arizona

No jail time for SF cyclist who struck and killed pedestrian in crosswalk

A 37-year-old cyclist in San Francisco was sentenced to 1,000 hours of community service and three years of probation on Thursday after pleading guilty to felony vehicular manslaughter.

Mud slides close Northern Tier bicycle route in Washington

Traveling bicyclists heading out on the Northern Tier Bicycle Route from Anacortes or nearing their final destination will find their way blocked on State Route 20 — the North Cascades Highway.

Overnight bike touring book for Washington state in the works

King County parks win support for more funding

The King County Parks levy jumped to an early lead for passage in returns counted Tuesday night.
