It's been two weeks since the Seattle to Portland bicycle classic. Do you still have it?
Three bicycle tours are coming up Sunday in western Washington where you can test your fitness or just roll along and enjoy the scenery without competing for road space with 9,500 other souls.
There's the Tour de Kitsap based in Silverdale in the west and Tour de Peaks in the Snoqualmie Valley in the east. Sandwiched in between is the inaugural Seattle Century rolling out of Magnuson Park.
Click on the points on the Google map above to read short summaries of the rides and find links to the ride websites.
It's a unfortunate that all these great rides are scheduled for the same day. I'm sure many of you would like to ride all three. We've done the Tour de Kitsap and Tour de Peaks in previous years, not the same day though.
In addition, two rides were scheduled Saturday, the Ride Around Artist Point 150 in Burlington and the ALS Doubleday bike ride fund-raiser in Conway. Pedal the Pinchot near Mount St. Helens also was slated for Saturday, but the website says it's been cancelled.
The bicycling activities don't end this weekend. Next week there's the RAMROD on July 31 (you should have signed up long ago for that one), followed by the Get Your Guts in Gear fund-raiser Aug. 1-3, Courage Classic on Aug. 2-3, and the Tour de Whatcom and Tour de Fat. Details at the August bike calendar page.
Happy riding.
