Dynacraft BSC is recalling 32,000 bicycles sold at Target from September 2004 to February 2007 because the frames might crack.

The US Consumer Product Safety Commission reports the recalled bikes are the Triax PK7 (model 8509-24) (at left) and Vertical PK7 (model 8596-71T) 20-inch aluminum cushion framed bicycles.

The model numbers and dates are attached right above the bottom bracket.

The bikes were manufactured in China by the Shun Lu Bicycle Co. and distributed through the at Target stores by Dynacraft, based in American Canyon, California.

The company has received two reports of cracked frames causing injury — scratches to legs and feet.

The CPSC says consumers should stop using the bicycles immediately and return them to Target for a full refund, including sales tax.

For information, see the company website or call Dynacraft at (800) 551-0032 or Target at  (800) 440-0680. Full details at the CPSC website.
