Lance Armstrong heading to South Korea bike race

Lance Armstrong, who has spent a lot of time with his Discovery Channel Pro Cycling Team in the Solvang training camp recently, reportedly is heading to Asia this fall.

A South Korean newspaper says the seven-time Tour de France winner will head to that country in September to promote a bicycle road race.

Apparently Armstrong is being brought along by the Seoul Olympic Sports Promotion Foundation to help turn the race — Sept. 1-9 — into a major attraction. The foundation also hopes his visit will help boost the popularity of cycling among health-conscious Koreans.
