See a lot more folks on their bicycles today? Yes, it's spring, and it might be a beautiful day where you live. It could also be people bicycling to work for National Bike to Work month.

With gasoline prices hovering at $3 a gallon, I can't think of a better time to suit up for a ride.

Here in Seattle, fer instance, the Cascade Bicycle Club is hosting several activities related to bike to work month.

One is the Group Health Commute Challenge. Participants who ride to work five times during the month — either alone or as part of a team — can qualify for prizes awarded at the end of May.

Friday, May 19, is Bike to Work Day (sponsored by Starbucks) in Seattle, and the club is setting up 37 Commute Stations where cyclists can get drinks, snack, maps, and your basic schwag on the way to work in the morning.
