Where:
Arlington or Stanwood (for Camano Climb)

This year’s McClinchy Camano Climb Edition offers three new routes and an update to an old favorite.  Each loop has rest stops with food, sag support, and friendly volunteers. Finish line in Arlington includes a fresh-grilled burger, with beer available for purchase.

McClinchy Mile is the first of four event rides promoted by the North Puget Sound Bicycle Alliance, which includes B.I.K.E.S., the Mount Baker Bicycle Club, Skagit Bike Club, and the Whidbey Island Bike Club.

McClinchy Routes —

33 mile Stanwood Loop – starts and ends in Arlington. Our flattest, easiest loop, with friendly cows and Stillaguamish River views along scenic farm roads. Route revised since 2018.

40 or 50 mile Camano Climb Loop – starts and ends in Stanwood. Love hills and water views? This ride is for you. Food stop at Cama Beach State Park and discounts from many island merchants. Skip the south tip of the island for the shorter option.

68 mile Stanwood-Camano Loop – starts and ends in Arlington. Combines the Stanwood Loop with the best of Camano for a super-scenic and super-sized metric (plus) century.

100 mile Camano Century – starts and ends in Arlington and includes Stanwood, Camano and a few miles in Skagit County for one continuous loop route. Lots of hills, little traffic and amazing views. Great goal if you want a challenging century (4,452 feet of climbing) or use it as a training ride for RAMROD or STP.
