SoCal Sun and Surf — Inn to inn tour starting and finishing in San Diego averaging 50 miles a day. Visit Palm Desert and Borrego Springs along the way. Offered by the Adventure Cycling Association. Dates: Feb. 23-March 3, 2019.
Climate Ride Death Valley National Park — This charitable cycling challenge explores the Death Valley, an area renown for little car traffic, warm winter weather, and unparalleled desert vistas. Stovepipe Wells to Furnace Creek. Limited to 40 bicycle riders. Dates: March 2-7, 2019.
California-Oregon Cascades — South Lake Tahoe to Portland, OR, on this van-supported ride. The Adventure Cycling Association tour starts in Lake Isabelle. Dates: June 15-July 3, 2019.
AIDS Lifecycle is 545-mile fund-raiser bike ride from San Francisco Los Angeles. Sponsored by San Francisco AIDS Foundation and L.A. Gay and Lesbian Center. Participants must raise a minimum $3,000. Dates: June 2-8, 2019.
Climate Ride – California Central Coast — The annual tour visits the Santa Cruz to Edna Valley. Raises funds and awareness for sustainability, active transportation, and environmental causes. Dates: June 12-16, 2019
California Wine Country Relaxed — Beginning in Petaluma, this 8 day, 249 mile fully supported tour travels through the Sonoma and Napa valleys, the Alexander and Russian River valleys, Point Reyes, Tomales and Bodega bays, and Marin County. Presented by Adventure Cycling Association. Dates: June 2-9, 2019.
Sierra to the Sea Bicycle Tour is a bicycle camping tour that travels from Lake Tahoe to the Golden Gate Bridge. The group celebrated its 30th anniversary in 2018. The ride is designed for experienced cyclists and is limited to 160 riders. About 420 miles Dates: June 15-22, 2019. Contact the Almaden Cycle Touring Club’s website for information and registration.
Cycle the Sierras — The Sierra Nevada in Northern California is the locale for this fully supported annual bike ride. About 300 miles of bicycling with dinner, refreshments and camping at night. Registration limited to first 150 cyclists. Dates: June 2019 (dates to be announced)
BRNW California 2018 — No California bike tour in 2019.
California Coast Classic Bicycle Tour is a fund-raiser bike ride for the Arthritis Foundation. Two options — 6-day, 355-mile ride from San Francisco to Buellton or if your schedule permits, an 8-day, 525 mile ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles. Dates: Sept. 21-28, 2019.
Pablove Across America — A 550-mile bike ride from the East Bay to LA. The route heads east into Yosemite and Sequoia national parks ending up in Los Angeles. A fund-raiser to support the battle against childhood cancer. Dates: Sept. 30-Oct. 6, 2018 (2019 dates to be announced)
California Dream Ride — California Bicycle Coalition benefits from this ride from Folsom to San Francisco in 2019. Dates: October dates to be announced
Pacific Coast South — This self-contained bicycle tour leaves Sausalito and heads south past a string of state beaches toward San Diego. Dates: Sept. 1 – 15, 2019
