The Bicycle Alliance of Washington is hosting an open house from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the new location of its offices.

BAW has taken over the lease at BikeStation Seattle at 311 Third Ave. South, in the Pioneer Square neighborhood. The bike advocacy and education group is moving into the building so that the 24/7 bike parking and repair services can remain.

BikeStation executive director Andrea White explains what's happening at the Seattle facility and what the future plans are for the area.

BikeStation is a California-based nonprofit with locations in Berkeley, San Francisco, Long Beach, and Palo Alto; new centers are planned in Washington DC and Santa Barbara.
