The Consumer Product Safety Commission says the front wheel hub can break, causing the disc brake to fail. Two such failures have been reported, with no injuries.

The company is urging owners of the two bike models to stop riding them immediately and contact a GT bicycle dealer to get the entire front wheel replaced for free. Consumers also can contact Cycling Sports Group at (800) 726-2453 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. (ET) Monday through Friday or check the website.

The bikes were sold for $3,200 to $4,400 at GT dealers from November 2014 until this past March.

The Fury Elite model is white with blue and red accents; the Fury Expert is metallic grey with lime green accents. Both models have rear shocks and front suspensions. “Fury” is printed on the top tube.
