Two projects on the Sammamish River Trail will either cause delays or detours for bicyclists traveling between Redmond and Bothell on the 10.9-mile paved trail.

Beginning Monday, bicyclists will be asked to dismount and walk their rides around a paving project on the Sammamish River Trail.
A one-mile stretch of the trail in the vicinity of 60 Acres Park will be closed in sections between Monday and Thursday, according to the King County Parks Department. That park it roughly located between Northeast 114th and 124th streets.
As there are no closures nor detours, trails users will be escorted around the work sites. Bicyclists will be asked to dismount their bikes. The county says the repair and repaving will only cause minor disruptions.
June 23-27
Then between June 23 and 27, bicyclists will have to take a temporary detour around a construction zone for a new stormwater treatment facility in Redmond.
The construction will force closure of the Sammamish River Trail during that period between Northeast Redmond Way and Leary Way Northeast. Bicyclists will be directed onto the Redmond Central Connector Trail to avoid the closure.
That 1.1 connector trail was completed late last year and intersects the Sammamish River Trail and the Bear Creek Trail.
