Will Lance Armstrong break the Tour de France record he set last year and win a 7th Tour de France championship this summer?
Three-fourths of you think he will. That's according to the poll that's been running for about two weeks at Biking Bis.
Interestingly, the voting heavily favored Armstrong the first few days, but dropped to about 66% at the end of the weeklong Dauphiné Libéré on Sunday. Armstrong finished in fourth place overall, 59 seconds behind the winner, Inigo Landaluze of the Euskatel team.
Meanwhile, MSNBC.com has devoted a bunch of bandwidth to Armstrong. The Guts and Glory package tracks his rise from a triathlete in 1984 (the year I reached the pinnacle of my cycling with a cross-country trip) to his Tour de France win last year. There's also commentary about last year's Tour win (Armstrong's 6th was one for the ages) from Garrett Lai and a comparison of all the great Tour de France winners — Top of the Tour.
