Climbing preview for Stage 6 at Giro d'Italia

Cyclists at the Giro d'Italia will find very little flat terrain on the Stage 6 bike race from Orvieto to Fiuggi.

The peloton races through the rolling Apennine foothills, but competitors for the mountain leader's jersey will find only a single Category 4 climb on the 216km (134-mile) race on Thursday.

The race ends, however, with an uncategorized climb into Fiuggi that might spell trouble for the sprinters.

The only mountain points will be captured on Soriano Nel Cimino, a 435-meter elevation climb that tops out about 41km into the race.

Here's a route map and profile of that climb provided by CyclingTheAlps.com.

If you have Google Earth, you can see a 3D view of the Soriano del Cimino climb here.
