Kona is recalling 530 Wo brand mountain bikes after a report that the front fork can break at the junction with the crown.
The Ferndale, WA-bike distributor and the Consumer Product Safety Commission are urging owners to stop riding the bicycles until they return them to the dealer for free replacement and installation of the fork.The 2014 Wo bikes included in the recall are charcoal black with silver decals. The sold for about $1,700 at dealers from September 2013 to July 2014.
The Wo is notable for the super-sized 4.8-inch wide tires. It is built in Taiwan.
