Films promote Montana to bicycle travelers

As spring nears, it’s time to consider when and where you’ll set out for a bicycling adventure this summer. You might want to consider the mountains and valley of the Big Sky state.

A series of films posted at the Epic Montana site on Youtube is promoting the many outdoor pursuits in the state. Among them are two long-distance bicycle routes that cross the state — the Northern Tier Bicycle Route and the venerable TransAmerica Trail.

The bike travel films were filmed by Epic Montana with the help of Adventure Cycling Association, which is based in Missoula, Montana and actually created those two bicycle routes.

This latest film introduces viewers to the 71-mile section of the TransAmerica between Ennis and Dillon, which includes a stop at the bike park in Twin Bridges. Last fall, filmmakers posted Adventure Cycling Montana – Northern Tier.

If you can’t make it to Montana this year, these films should at least get you hungry for some overnight bicycling closer to home.
