Little Rock, Arkansas-based Orbea is recalling 715 Avant road bikes after determining that the carbon front fork can break.

Users should stop riding them and go to an Orbea dealer for a free replacement fork.

Although no incident or injuries have been reported, Orbea issued the recall for the carbon framesets sold with hydraulic disc brakes or capable of being outfitted with hydraulic disc brakes.

The recall is not limited to any model or serial number. Orbea and the US Consumer Product Safety Commission say the targeted bikes have the word Avant printed in black and white on the top and head tube and the word Orbea in white on the top and down tube.

The bikes, made in China and Spain, were sold at Orbea dealers from August 2013 to June 2014 for $1,200 to $9,000.

For more information, contact Orbea at (888) 466-7232 from 8:30 to 5:30 Monday through Friday. Also, go to the Avant support website and click on “Support”.
