The “Build It. Bike It. Be a Part of It.” campaign for the US Bicycle Route System is continuing with some generous gifts and contests.
The non-profit Adventure Cycling Association is sponsoring the campaign to raise $50,000 during National Bike Month to help offset its expenses in coordinating development of the nationwide bicycle route network.
By the half-way point they’ve raised $20,000, which is a little off-pace to reach their goal. Their campaign partners are making some offers to help spur more interest in the campaign.
— Anyone donating $100 during the challenge will receive a free USBRS Walz cycling cap, while supplies last;
— During the week of May 14 (this week), anyone donating $25 is eligible to win a set of Ortleib 30 Years Edition Panniers;
— Submit a video explaining why USBRS is important to you, and you’re eligible to win a BOB trailer. The video must get the most views on either YouTube or Vimeo of all the USBRS supporters’ videos. To be eligible, you must email your YouTube or Vimeo link to Winona Bateman at wbateman@AdventureCycling.com. To get started, check out a sample script.
