Never been to the Seattle Bike Swap?
Here's what you missed on Sunday. David Stern shot and posted this time-lapse video of the show at the Titanium Sporkestra YouTube page. [Learn more about Titanium Sporkestra.]
You'll see some hot and heavy negotiating for bicycles and gear going on in the foreground.
And as the video rolls toward its conclusion, you'll see what they mean by show up early; it gets quite crowded later in the day.
The bike swap has been presented for the past 17 years by the Cascade Bicycle Club for the benefit of its Major Taylor Project and other programs. Lately, it has been held at the Seattle Center Exhibition Hall.
And file this thought away for next year — Show up early. Doors open at 9.
By the way, two other big Cascade events are coming up. The Chilly Hilly Bicycle Classic on Bainbridge Island is Feb. 26, and the Seattle Bike Expo is March 10 and 11.
