The Giro d'Italia enters the early phase of killer stages on Friday with a mountain-top finish in Montevergine di Mercogliano. It comes at the end of a 68-mile bike race on Friday for Stage 7.
The Category 2 finish follows another Category 2 climb in the second half of the stage on Serra Della Strada. The Streetview map of Serra Della Strada and the final Montevergine climb are provided below by CyclingtheAlps.com.
We'll probably find another cyclist in the maglia rosa after these climbs, unless Pieter Weening is a serious contender for the overall championship.
