As the Giro d'Italia bike race gets back more or less to normal on Wednesday, the peloton will face two climbs in the 191km (118-mile) cycling route from Piombino to Orvieto.
Both are Category 3 and conspire to classify Stage 5 as a “moderate mountain” stage. It's time for the real battle for the green mountain points jersey, held by Gianluca Brambilla (Colnago), to begin.
Dennis Wegewijs made the routes and profiles of the mountain passes available from his CyclingtheAlps.com website.
While the cyclists will face rolling hills all day, the two mountains come in the second half of the stage.
The first is Saragiolo, at 930 meters the higher of the two. The peloton hits the summer about 120k into the race.

The next is Croce di Fighine at 731 meters, where the cyclists faced several sections of dirt roads. After the summit, it's another 36k to the finish line in Orvieto.
