The roster for the 2010 Vuelta a Espana was posted online Friday and it looks like six cyclists from the United States will be competing in the three-week Grand Tour that starts Saturday.
Five are riding for the Garmin-Transitions pro cycling team and one rides for HTC-Columbia. Both are based in the U.S.
They are:
101. Tom Danielson
103. Tyler Farrar
106. Thomas Peterson
109. David Zabriskie
177. Tejay Van Garderen
CyclingNews counted Vande Velde and Danielson among the cyclists who have a shot at winning the Vuelta, which ends Sept. 19 in Madrid.
