RadioShack names Armstrong to Tour de France roster

Surprising no one, Lance Armstrong has been named to the RadioShack roster for the 2010 Tour de France.

He'll be joined by Americans Levi Leipheimer and Chris Horner.

Also on the roster are Andreas Kloeden of Germany, Janez Brajkovic of Slovenia, Sergio Paulinho of Portugal, Yaroslav Popovych of Ukraine, Gregory Rast of Switzerland and Dmitriy Muravyev of Kazakhstan.

The 38-year-old finished in 3rd place overall at the 2009 Tour de France, his first year back after retiring from cycling in 2005.

Some illness and a fall at the Tour of California in May slowed down Armstrong's spring training. He improved during the Tour of Luxembourg and finished 2nd overall in the Tour de Suisse.

The Tour de France starts July 3.

Oregon's Horner was irked last year when manager Johan Bruyneel left him off the Astana roster that included Armstrong, Leipheimer and Alberto Contador, the eventual winner. Horner won the Vuelta al Pais Vasco earlier this year.
