If you've been thinking about donating to the “Build It. Bike It. Be a part of it.” fund-raising campaign for the US Bicycle Route System, this would be a good week to dig into your wallet.

Adventure Cycling Association announced on Tuesday that it had raised about $16,000 so far in the campaign to support the Bicycle Route System; that includes $5,000 in donations through Causes on Facebook and the Change.org fund-raising page.
The non-profit is raising funds to help pay for mapping and organizing efforts on the Bicycle Route System, which is designed to link major cities, suburbs and rural areas on a network of numbered bike routes.
The fund-raising campaign lasts through the end of the month.
