Update: Feb. 2 — Criterium International added to schedule (below)

Some interesting news from Lance Armstrong buried in other items at the Team RadioShack press conference in Tucson this week was his tentative bike racing schedule for 2010.

VeloNews mentions just six races for Armstrong in the 2010 season, although there's nothing to prevent him from adding more.

Here are the races as reported at VeloNews and the dates:

Tour Down Under, Australia, Jan. 17 – 24

Vuelta Murcia, Spain, March 3 – 7

Cape Argus Cycle Tour, South Africa, March 14 (fund-raiser; not a race)

Milan – San Remo, Italy, March 20

Criterium International, Corsica (France), March 27-28 (update here)

Volta Ciclista a Catalunya, Spain, March 22 – 28

Tour of California, USA, May 16 – 23

Critérium du Dauphiné Libéré, France, June 3 – 13

— or —

Tour of Switzerland, Switzerland, June 12 – 20

Tour de France, France, July 3 – 25

He raced three of these cycling events in 2009: Tour Down Under, finishing 29th; Tour of California, finishing in 7th, and Tour de France, finishing in 3rd.

Apparently a decision will be made at a later date regarding Critérium du Dauphiné Libéré or Tour of Switzerland.
