It's not quite time for “Lights. Camera. Action!” for the Lance Armstrong biographical movie, but apparently plans are shifting into a higher gear.
The screenwriter and director for the movie “Seabiscuit,” Gary Ross, has been hired to write a script for the movie based on Armstrong's first book, “It's Not About the Bike.”
The film's producer, Frank Marshall, told the Risky Biz Blog that the tale of the pro cyclist and the race horse have certain similarities.
I don't know if Armstrong would like be compared to a horse, although they both did undergo setbacks to reach success and widespread adoration by the American public.
This movie has been on the back burner for several years. Maybe this year's Tour de France is the finish that the producers are looking for.
