Bad news for fans of Yehuda Moon & Kickstand Cyclery.
Comic strip creator Rick Smith posted a cartoon of his character parking his bicycle. Above the strip there's this message:
“A good spot to stop for a while. Yehuda Moon on hiatus.”
“Dear Readers,
“I regret that this will be the last day of 'Yehuda Moon' for a while. I ran out of time and can't continue with the comic.
“Thank you to all who read and shared and contributed to the comic. You are amazing and your support and enthusiasm for bicycling and bicycles is thrilling. I'll be stopping all current PayPal monthly subscriptions for you by April 12, 2009.
“See you down the road.”
Yehuda Moon creator Smith is a 36-year-old web developer in Shaker Heights, Ohio. In a recent interview, he told Bike Radar that he started doing the comic strip in January 2008 soon after he started commuting by bicycle again.
The plot generally involves Yehuda, a bike enthusiast and co-owner of a bike shop. His philosophy is said to generally follow that of Rivendell Bicycle Works owner Grant Peterson.
Let's hope Yehuda climbs back on his bike soon.
