How do you choose the charity bicycle events that you ride?
Is it the cause? The difficulty? The length? The other people who are riding it?
A market research class at Northeastern University in Boston is conducting a survey of bicyclist preferences for non-profit organization rides.
They contacted me to pass along information about the survey, which is available online at non-profit organization bicycle rides.
I completed the survey in about five minutes. It didn't ask my name or whether I wanted to be contacted by a charity ride. It just asked questions pertaining to how I choose a ride, how much I raise, and how often I participate in a charity event.
The results will be used for academic purposes and be made available to non-profit organizations. They should be available toward the end of April.
Interesting that Northeastern would be doing this marketing survey. Massachusetts is the home of the biggest endurance sports fund-raiser, the Pan-Mass Challenge. The event raises some $30 million a year for the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston.
