Two suspects wanted in the $250,000 burglary at David Zabriskie's Salt Lake City home are in custody.
Salt Lake City police arrested the two separately on Thursday after publicizing their identities. One turned himself in and the other was apprehended when he showed up at his girlfriend's house.
The two, ages 43 and 39, could be charged with five separate felony counts.
In spite of the arrests, not much of the loot has been recovered yet. Among the items taken were two cars, a racing medal, an Olympic ring, 13 bicycles, computers, space legs (a training device) and seven Marvel comic statues. Only one bicycle, two vehicles and some smaller items have been found.
Not surprisingly, the Salt Lake City Tribune reports that the pair have long criminal histories.
The burglary occurred while Zabriskie racing his bike at the Amgen Tour of California. A member of the Garmin-Slipstream team, he finished in second place overall.
