(Updated: Nov. 14, 2007 — The Scotsman accused of having sex with his bicycle in a hotel room has been placed on three years probation.
The 51-year-old with an admitted drinking problem had pleaded guilty to sexual breach of the peace and also was sentenced for breach of the peace for threatening a hostel employee.
The man said the episode was a misunderstanding caused by too much drink, according to the Telegraph. The newspaper also quoted the local sheriff:
“In almost four decades in the law I thought I had come across every perversion known to mankind, but this is a new one on me. I have never heard of a 'cycle-sexualist'. “

Oct. 29, 2007 — Bike porn I can explain, but sex with a bike is something I can't really picture.
So let's call on a police official who testified recently in a court proceeding regarding a man in the Aberley House Hostel in Ayr, Scotland.
Two cleaners had knocked on the man's door but no one answered. The police official explains:
“They used a master key to unlock the door and they then observed the accused wearing only a white T-shirt, naked from the waist down. The accused was holding the bike and moving his hips back and forth as if to simulate sex.”
The man admitted to sexual breach of the peace (that's the charge) at the hearing and was placed on the sex offender's register. Sentencing will be made next month, according to the Telegraph.
Digging deeper into this story, the Telegraph reports that he wasn't the first to be convicted of having sex with an inanimate object. An electrician was jailed for having sex with pavements in Redditch, Worcs, in 1993.
I'd rather they had reported what make and style of bicycle he was humping.
Almost as funny as the story is the Telegraph headline: “Man who had sex with bike in court.” That raises more bizarre images.
