Battling to make the fight against cancer a campaign issue in the 2008 presidential election, Lance Armstrong is asking supporters to thank the candidates who participated in his Iowa forums last month.
Six candidates participated in the forums: Republicans Sam Brownback and Mike Huckabee and Democrats Hillary Clinton, John Edwards, Dennis Kucinich and Bill Richardson.
Under the flag of the LiveStrong Army, the cancer survivor and 7-time Tour de France winner is asking supporters to sign the electronic “Thank You” card.
In an email to supporters, Armstrong wrote:
The LiveStrong Presidential Cancer Forum made cancer a ballot box issue for the 2008 elections. The Livestrong Army will continue working to ensure that cancer remains part of the national dialogue.
