Landis meets and greets at Copper Triangle ride in Colorado

You never know who you're going to meet on a bicycle at a 10,000-foot mountain pass in Colorado.

Howard at the Why Howard Laughed blog, for instance, stumbled across Floyd Landis at the Tennessee Pass rest stop on the Colorado Cyclist Copper Triangle bike ride on Saturday.

That's why you should always carry a camera. Howard did, and now he has a picture on his blog of Landis posing with six members of the Club Hypoxia bike club.

Leadville

Landis is training for the Leadville 100 mountain bike race on Aug. 11. But it looks like the on-again, off-again matchup between Landis and Lance Armstrong at the race is off again.

The Katie, Mom & Dad blog found a VeloNews story that says, once again, that Armstrong has a “scheduling conflict.”

However, the Recovox News blog has race director Ken Clouber saying that Armstrong rode a portion of the course with his coach Chris Carmichael back in July. Clouber thinks he's probably coming.

I think we'll just have to wait and see.
