US time trial specialist David Zabriskie lamenting his 3rd-place finish in the Stage 20 individual time trial at the 2007 Giro d'Italia.
Zabriskie had to ride the 27-mile time trial in the pouring rain, while 1st and 2nd place finishers Paolo Savoldelli (Astana) and Eddy Mazzoleni (Astana) got dry weather for their ride.
Even so, Zabriskie finished 38 seconds behind Savoldelli and 2 seconds behind Mazzoleni. The rider for Team CSC finished in 58th place overall at the end of the Giro, as he rode to protect team leader Andy Schleck, who finished in 2nd overall.
