Three Americans are assigned to help Italian cyclist Ivan Basso win the Tour de France bike race for Team CSC this year.
It's at least the second time in the Tour de France for all three. They are Bobby Julich (right), Christian Vandevelde and the third American ever to wear the yellow jersey, David Zabriskie.
Others include Carlos Sastre, Jens Voigt, Giovanni Lombardi, Stuart O'Grady and Fränk Schleck, according to VeloNews. Former tour winner Bjarne Riis is the team manager.
Julich, 34, finished 3rd in the Tour de France in 1998. He's only the third American, after Greg Lemond and Lance Armstrong, to win a podium finish in the Tour de France. He won the Paris-Nice in 2005, the first American to do so.
Riding for CSC last year, Zabriskie won the yellow jersey in the prologue and held it until he crashed at the end of the Stage 4 team time trial. He was only the third American — again after Lemond and Armstrong — to wear the yellow jersey.

Twenty-one team rosters are listed at the official Tour de France website. Among other Americans listed are Christopher Horner, left, and Freddy Rodriguez (Davitamon Lotto), George Hincapie (Discovery), Levi Leipheimer (Gerolsteiner) and Floyd Landis (Phonak).
