Peter Hoch, a Marin County resident, telling officials that a website with information about new signs and trails would benefit cyclists. Marin County, California, is figuring out how to spend $25 million in federal transportation funds it received as one of four municipalities in a pilot study. The other sites are Columbia, Missouri; Minneapolis-St. Paul; and Sheboygan, Wisconsin. Marin County's first step — hire a transportation planner guide the project. Choosing hike and bike trails will come later.
