Exactly one-year ago today I took my celebratory birthday ride and filed my first piece in Biking Bis. (Actually, it started out as Bikin' Bis, but too many searches for “bikini” were landing here and not enough for “biking.”)
Since then, I've posted 1,004 (this will be 1,005) articles and pictures on this blog. I snatched many of those items from news reports; others came from my own experiences.
I'd like to thank everyone who's visited the site. Based on Statcounter and my host, Blogharbor, I've had 27,975 visitors who have checked out 63,816 pages in the past year. It started slow, but I've more than doubled my daily rate.
Long-time readers will probably notice a change in tone. At first I aimed to create a blog entirely about bicycle touring. I soon learned that other bicycling-related topics interested me as well.
Now I aim for this to be a place where cyclists can go to keep up-to-date on cycling news and trends. I also list bicycle clubs and major recreational rides in the Northwest and week-long bicycle rides across the states (more than 60 at last count).
