The individual rides (with routes from 10 to 100 miles) will be preceded by events and displays at a Livestrong Village on Friday and Saturday, a pasta dinner Saturday evening for those who raise $2,500 or more, and a post-ride party on Sunday.

If you think you may want to participate, sign up early as there are information sessions scheduled as early as January for the upcoming rides. The LAF is seeking volunteers for the various rides at its volunteer information website.

Last year's Ride for the Roses and LiveStrong Portland raised more than $9 million for LAF last year.

Update: Jan. 10, 2006 — Each LIVESTRONG Ride requires a $50 registration fee, and riders must agree to raise a minimum of $500 in donations in order to participate. Riders may fundraise above the $500 minimum for incentive awards, such as a commemorative cycling jersey and invitations to the pre-Ride pasta dinner.)
