The Lance Armstrong Foundation (LAF) has closed yet another loophole in its sale of yellow bracelets to support cancer research and education.

The UN's World Intellectual Property Organization has ruled against a cybersquatter selling LIVESTRONG bracelets, reports MSNBC.

In this case, a California-based operator held three domain names that were similar to the official Livestrong.org and offered the bracelets commercially “in bad faith.”

The LAF has sold more than 50 million of the yellow bracelets, which have sparked a fashion trend of a multitude of colored bands for many causes and slogans.

The LIVESTRONG bracelets have been since 2004. Quite a few fast-buck artists have had their hands slapped and fined for trying to trick the public into buying unofficial bracelets. In one case, eight New York retailers paid fines for selling the counterfeit wristbands.
