The blogosphere is in full swing at the Interbike Expo trade show in Las Vegas. I can imagine the blearing-eyed bloggers crawling off the trade floor and back to their hotel rooms just long enough to file their reports and upload some images.
Although he's not there, Cyclelicious is compiling good links to news out of the trade show, as well as links to pictures that prove there's more than bike gear in those 700-800 booths (right).
I've found a couple of other decent links to Interbike reports and photos. Grumpy Old Biker, who just starting blogging a month ago, is uploading pictures of some carbon bikes (Serotta) and components from the show floor. Meanwhile, the Bicycle Design blog offers this assessment from 2,000 miles away: “If last year was 'the year of carbon fiber' as some dubbed it, this show will have to go down as the year of even more carbon.”
There's lots of news on mountain bikes and the cruisers, but I haven't found much for touring bikes or gear. Here's a press release from Germany's HP Velotechnik reporting that this rather odd-looking recumbent tricycle will be on display at Interbike. Also Terry Bicycles' T-Blog announces the company that features bicycles for women will show the Isis, Symmetry and Madeleine.
