Lance Armstrong and rock-star girlfriend Sheryl Crow are going to pedal down the aisle together.
The Paceline confirms that Armstrong and Crow became engaged last Wednesday while vacationing in Sun Valley, Idaho, on a mountain biking vacation.
No wedding date has been set, but the Associated Press reports it could be this spring.
This would be Armstrong's second marriage. His first ended in divorce several years ago; he and former wife Kristin share custody of their three children. It would be Crow's first marriage
Meanwhile, the Armstrong controversy of “Did he or didn't he” (take performance-enhancing drugs) is being supplanted by “Will he or won't he” (come out of retirement).
According to VeloNews, Armstrong was quoted in the Austin American-Statesman as saying he was thinking of coming out of retirement next year for the Tour de France. “I'm thinking it's the only way to piss (the French) off.”
Spokesman Mark Higgins said Armstrong was joking. “He's 100% retired,” VeloNews reported.
However, Discovery Channel team manager Johan Bruyneel told Spanish TV at the end of Tuesday's race that he had spoken with Armstrong about the possibilities of making a comeback.
