So what if Lance Armstrong is a few places down going into the last day of the Dauphiné Libéré? The Associated Press reports that Armstrong is considering his future with rockstar Sheryl Crow.
When asked about having kids with Crow, Armstrong said:
“Yeah. Sheryl and I are very happy. To me, when you have a relationship, you're happy and in love, children are a natural part of the equation. I'm traditional in that sense.”
He went on to say that his first marriage didn't work out, but he greatly misses his kids while he's away racing in Europe. That's one reason why he has announced his retirement at the end of this year's Tour de France.
AP says it conducted the interview after Santiago Botero (Phonak) won Saturday's mountain stage, catapulting him ahead of Armstrong in the overall standings.
With one stage to go in the week-long race through southeastern France, Armstrong is in fourth place, 1 minute and 47 seconds behind the leader Inigo Landaluze (Euskatel-Euskadi). Botero is in second, followed by Levi Leipheimer (Gerolsteiner) in third.
Full results are available at VeloNews and CyclingNews. Videotape of Sunday's final stage will be televised on OLN's Cyclysm Sunday at 5 p.m. (ET).
