“Everyone eats their own thing. Some people stop along the way at little diners and eat fried chicken and peach cobbler. That would have me puking the whole way home. Everyone is different.”

Rae Harrison is chairman of the Greenville Spinners and tour director of the 25th Annual David Sutton Memorial Cross State tour.
About 90 cyclists took part in the four-day tour this year that takes a 300-mile cross state route from Greenville to New Berry, Acon, Walterboro, and Beaufort.
The ride memorializes club member David Sutton, who was killed in an accident with a car while riding his bicycle to a tour in 1986. Club members say Sutton organized many early tours for the club and carried tools so he could help people who broke down along the way.
