American Bobby Julich will wear the yellow/white leader's jersey for the final day of the Paris-Nice bicycle race on Sunday.

Julich's CSC teammates protected him from other cyclists contending for the general classification lead on the 114-mile route from La Crau to Cannes on Saturday. Rabobank's Joost Posthuma of The Netherlands won the stage as part of an eight-man breakaway.

Julich holds a 19-second lead over his nearest rival, Spain's Constantino Zaballa on the Saunier Duval-Prodir team. The American lives in Nice during the European race season and trains on the roads that will be the 83-mile route in Sunday's final stage.

Can he win the overall race? “Yeah, I think so,” Julich told Reuters.

The 34-year-old cyclist won a bronze Olympic medal in the individual time trial in 2004, and has finished third in the Paris-Nice. See his website for a bio.

The final stage will be televised (tape delayed) on the Outdoor Life Network, 5-6:30 p.m. Sunday, Eastern time. As always, double check the OLN website for schedule changes.
