Normally a manufacturer of recumbents, RANS has entered the comfort bicycle field this year. These bikes — this one displayed at the Feb. 19 and 20 Seattle bike show — allow the rider to sit lower, enabling him to stop with feet flat on the ground, and the seat position also reduces hand pressure on the handlebars. Although it looks like a beach cruiser, the bike sports plenty of gearing for hills. More about the RANS product line is available here.
